The voting members of this committee shall consist of seven faculty appointed by the Dean and Executive Committee. The committee shall include at least one adjunct faculty member. The Associate Dean shall serve as an ex officio member.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The committee will provide advice and guidance to the faculty on issues related to faculty roles, responsibilities, and recognition regarding teaching, service, and research.
- The committee will function as a nominating committee for all elected positions and Standing Academic Committee appointments
- Review nominations for adjunct faculty appointment and make recommendations to the Dean
- Review awards
- Advise on professional staff development
- Serve as a link between the rest of campus and University College on issues of faculty development
- Collaborate the role and accomplishments of University College to the rest of campus
- Promote faculty development in first year experience courses
