Community: Employers: Become an Alumni Mentor

All IUPUI graduates are eligible to serve as alumni mentors. Mentoring provides alumni the opportunity to give back to their community and university, as well as an avenue for molding the future of their profession. To get involved, alumni complete a registration profile in which they choose their desired method of contact (phone or email), the number of times per month they wish to be contacted by students, and select one or more of the following mentor offerings: career advising, informational interview, job shadowing, mock interview, resume review, employer information, regional information, offer internship, and offer externship. To register as an alumni mentor, follow these easy steps:

1. Visit www.jagjobs.org 
2. Click "Become a Mentor."
3. Complete and submit the registration profile.
4. Within a few days, you will receive an approval email including your login information for updating your profile at any time. Students using the Alumni Mentor Database may now view your profile and contact you in the method specified during registration.

Alumni Mentor Connections Newsletter

The Alumni Mentor Connections Newsletter is distributed twice per semester and once during the summer to feature effective student-alumni mentoring connections and emphasize the benefits of mentoring relationships for students and alumni alike. Other helpful information includes articles about newly added alumni mentors, information from the Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR); and valuable events for student and alumni participation.
