Letter from the Dean

Dear Student:

Welcome to IUPUI. Whether you are just out of high school, transferring from another school, or are returning to school after several years, University College will be your home during your transition. We are here to provide you with whatever help you may need to be successful at IUPUI—from orientation to academic advising and career counseling to mentoring and study sessions to “exam jams” before finals.

You were given this Navigator to provide you with information you'll need as you embark on your college career. It also details all of the resources and support available
to you as an IUPUI student.

However, one campus resource cannot be stressed enough: people. As soon as you begin, make connections with faculty (they really are approachable), staff, and other students. The culture of higher education values interaction and exchange of diverse ideas. The more you engage yourself in the life of the campus, the more successful
you will be.
