Research has shown that students who take a learning community when they start at IUPUI are more likely to stay in college and graduate. The IUPUI Learning Community program has been recognized nationally in U.S. News and World Report as a program that really works.

Learning communities are so successful because they offer you a group of friends, so that you know you're not alone. The learning community instructional team lays out exactly what will be expected of you in college and explains how the university is organized so that you don't have to learn these things the hard way. Students who reflect on their learning community experience recognize the value of the opportunity.
