Students: Life Beyond Classes: Affording College

The more hours that a student works for pay, the less likely she or he is to complete a college degree. This doesn’t mean you can’t work and go to school; it means that you should be judicious about the number of hours you obligate yourself to work while you are earning your college degree. You can find specific information about ways to afford college below.

IUPUI's Paying for College homepage

IUPUI provides the maximum return for your dollar. Reasonable tuition and fees in combination with a financial aid program make IUPUI an affordable college choice.

Work-Study Jobs

Its purpose is to promote part-time employment for students with financial need and to help students in meeting their educational costs, provide relevant work experience, and to build relationships between IUPUI and the Indianapolis community.
A Federal Work-Study award is packaged as part of the student's financial aid and is awarded through the IUPUI Office of Student Financial Aid Services (OSFAS).
