Critical Inquiry

This is a one-credit course designed to help students succeed in a linked, discipline-based course by developing collegiate-level skills which are transferable to other courses. Students learn to read and understand text materials, critically evaluate information and ideas, and communicate understanding of course materials through written and oral exercises.

Honors

The IUPUI Honors Program provides highly-motivated and creative students with additional resources and opportunities that enhance their experiences both within the classroom and beyond.  Through specially-designed Honors courses with limited enrollment, opportunities for independent research, an active Honors Club, and a variety of Honors-sponsored events throughout the year, Honors students supplement their regular degree programs within a close and supportive community of fellow students and faculty.  Students may choose to participate in Honors by taking occasional Honors course work, or they may elect to pursue the General Honors Notation and graduate "with Honors."

Undergraduate Research

The IUPUI Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program is a campus-wide grants program that encourages and supports undergraduate students to work with a faculty mentor on a research or other creative project. Students who engage in undergraduate research learn through inquiry and experience with an intensity and depth not likely encountered in the classroom. UROP is administered and funded by the IUPUI Center for Research and Learning.
