IUPUI Bowen Scholars Program

Eligible applicants

EEP participants who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:

• Maintained good academic standing in their degree program
• Demonstrate financial need
• Plan to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study
• Participated in and demonstrate commitment to continue full participation in one or more of the following IUPUI EEP programs: 21st Century Scholars, Diversity Enrichment and Achievement Program (DEAP), Indy Achieves, THRIVE, or TRIO Student Support Services.

What you need to apply

• Application
• Responses to supplemental questions
• Completed FAFSA
• One recommendation letter from an EEP director

The Bowen Scholar applications are available through the IU Scholarship Portal.

• Go to IU Scholarships on One.IU and enter the portal
• Complete the IU General Scholarship Application
  
  • The general application calls for a required essay. If you are only planning to apply for the Bowen Scholars Program, you can write a very brief statement in that box
• Search for Bowen Scholars application and fill it out

Eligible applicants

Ivy Tech Bowen Scholars who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:

• Maintained good standing in the Ivy Tech Bowen Scholars Program
• Admitted to IUPUI
• Earned an associate degree or are in select Ivy Tech degree programs and have successfully executed a transfer plan developed with the Office of IUPUI/Ivy Tech Coordinated Programs and approved by the Ivy Tech Bowen Scholars program manager
